The New, Creepier ChesterMain 1 Comment »Not a week goes by that I don’t get a craving for the orangy goodness that are Cheetos. Some breakfasts consist of that and a cold can of Diet Coke. Utterly disgusting, I know. A habit I don’t indulge in as often as I used to, but still . . . I know . . . ew. Now, it’s come to my attention that Chester has changed his stripes in a new series of TV commercials. He’s gone from cartoony to creepy and conniving. Art to Fill My Blank WallsMain No Comments »This past week I bought a bed. So, my budget for spending on my apartment is pretty much tapped out for the remainder of the year. But that doesn’t keep me from dreaming of what other cool things, grown-up things that I could put in my apartment to make it more of a home. Tonight I found myself thinking about art. And that led me to searching the databases of one of my favorite amateur art websites; deviantart.com. It’s like a social networking site for artists, but also a place for them to display their work and even sell it. And so into the search box, I entered “Chicago,” hoping to find a little bit of home to put on my walls (when budget once again permits). After looking at tons of different photographs, some paintings, few drawings, I decided I wasn’t sold on anything. But I did find myself itching to head back to Chicago in winter to photograph some of my favorite spots; something to get me through the blazing hot summers in the valley, I suppose. Still, there was some cool stuff. Here’s a bit of what I found.
